Kyphosis (ki-fO-sis)
- Abnormal curvature of the thoracic spine (vertebrae in rib area)
- Abnormal curve is > 40 degrees, resulting in a rounded or hunched-over posture
(Normal curve is 20-40 degrees)
- Postural kyphosis is more common in girls than boys

- Poor Posture
- Unknown (possible hereditary)
- Birth defects
- Osteoporosis (later in life)
- Congenital Disease
- Injury (fractures)
