Feeding Tube

The Patient

The patient may not look like the person you remember. He/she will be lying in a hospital bed. The patient may have many tubes taped to his/her face. The tape holds the tubes in place. Sometimes edema (swelling) makes their face look bigger. Their eyes and cheeks may be puffy too. It is okay to hold their hand if you wish.
