Ventilator

This machine can make a lot of noise and has flashing lights that tell the nurse to check the patient's breathing. This is a very important machine; it gives oxygen (air) through a tube in the patient's mouth. It helps them to breath until they are ready to do the work themselves. Remember they can't talk, but you can ask them yes/no questions or just tell them about your day.

Listen to a ventilator here (Sound)
