Small Bowel

My small bowel (also called the small intestine) is very important! Its job is to take all the good things from my food and absorb them. When you look at the inside of the small bowel, it is covered with a furry lining made of many tiny, finger-like villi. These villi help absorb the food. The inside of the small bowel looks like this:
