Interim Associate Director, Hospital-based Services

Paul Abramowitz, Pharm D, was appointed Interim Associate Director, Hospital-based Services. He will have oversight of Pharmaceutical Care and provide senior administrative leadership to Radiology, Laboratory Services, Respiratory Therapy, and Rehabilitation Therapies.
Abramowitz is most recently Director and Chief Pharmacy Officer at UI Hospitals and Clinics, and is also professor and assistant dean for UI Hospitals and Clinics at the College of Pharmacy.
He joined UI Hospitals and Clinics as Director of Pharmaceutical Care in February, 1998. He had previously spent 10 years as Director of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics. He is a past President of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and currently serves as treasurer. He recently completed service as chairperson of the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
